With a record number of 396 cyclists, the Fenner Ride was a true success in raising funds and awareness of Big Brother Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. We were impressed at headquarters with the volunteer groups who supported the ride and cheered in the cyclists…very professional and attentive! The delicious bagels with cream cheese and juice provided that energy boost at ride start. Good Vibrations Sound Productions provided Ride Director, Paula Shell with an awesome sound system to make announcements and introductions. There was a nice variety of bikes at this ride!  Check ’em out AND the new Fenner Ride jerseys…with or without bow ties.

Cyclists were were lined up and sent out in an orderly fashion and provided escort by the City of Milton Fire truck and sagged by 5 snazzy Centennial Imports cars

3 of our 5 ABCS Support Staff had headed out for a ride before coming back to sign in, by the end of the day, 164 Centurions.

ABCS Support Staff: Faith Stockton, Terrie Hinton, Kathy Thornton, Anita Patel

Meanwhile, back at camp, Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers set up for a fantastic lunch of pulled pork, chicken, mac & cheese, green beans, potato salad, and Buffalo Rock drinks…and set up to welcome back riders with cool “hand-clappers” …and BBBS Staff even made time for a photo!

Volunteers from the Blackwater Heritage Trail Support Organization  Training Air Wing HT-8 were working rest stops and making sure everyone stayed on route.  Reports were that road markings and signage were the best!

By 12:30, first century riders flew in, all smiles and full of fun stories!

Selby Hamrich, Tony Robbins, David Wanhatalo
